Online feedback:
I recently attended a 2 day First aid course for Adventure Leaders and Instructors run by Jim Morning. The course was thorough and extremely well presented and despite the range of experience and backgrounds of those attending the course still felt well tailored to the whole group. The support material and the scenarios worked well and the course felt thoroughly professional throughout.

The best first aid course I've attended (in 30 years). It always helps when you feel that the instructor knows what he is talking about and has done it in practice.

feedback: I greatly enjoyed the three day course, which had a balance
between pratical and theory. It was very informative for pratical situations
and gave me an understanding of the importance of emergency care, both in
work and everyday living. thank you Paul A.

I never realised how ignorant I was and how much I took for granted untill I took the First Aid training course. I would recomend that this course be made mandatory to all irrespective of profession. Excellent and well packaged sessions.

Online feedback:
I found the course very beneficial, not only in my professional
everyday capacity, but also as I am involved as a volunteer with the Coast
Guard.
The course gave me a chance to go back to basics and see first-Aid from the
perspective that first got me interested in the subject.
The simple no nonsence approach and "hands on" attitude of the Instructers
combined with the realistic scenarios and the easy to follow power-point
presentation made this a most enjoyable course. The fact that there were
four Instructers meant that nothing was overlooked and no Student was missed
or left outside the loop. All in all a most comprehensive and more importantly, a most enjoyable course.

Fantastic, informative, relevant hands on course. The mixed
didactic, small group and practical sessions ensured a memorable educational
experience.

Administrator's Comment: Dr. O’Sullivan is, by a considerable margin, the most prominent physician who has attended one of our courses. - He is a very experienced A&E senior consultant – his comments make me feel very humble – Iomhar is a clinical emergency care specialist who has my highest regard- Paul Allan Dir. of Training |
Online feedback:
Several days after the course I remain extremely impressed by the
integrity, quality and professionalism of the organisation and its trainers.
They brought the whole subject alive with a perfect blend of theory,
practical experience, indoor training and outdoor exercises. I hope it's
not too long before I meet Paul and the team again. Very highly recommended
indeed! |
Online feedback:
The course was very informative and I took away a lot of interesting knowledge. I went on the course not knowing much about first aid but i left feeling quite confident about my skills and capabilities as a first aider. I now believe its good for everyone to have at least some basic understanding of first aid.

feedback: Found the course fantastic as a refresher for match/games attendance. I found it very beneficial to work with those at the same level as myself, we all learned from shared experiences. Thanks Paul!!

Online feedback:
The practical sessions were most valuable. Catriona had an excellent manner and presentation.

I felt this course was a very useful adjunct to my physiotherapy experience and made me a lot more confident to treat emergency incidents in sport and life in general. Paul is an excellent instructor but if I had some negative feedback it would be that I would have liked to apply the defibrillator to a dummy as opposed to just learning how to use it. - January 2007
( Administration Note : Defibrillator training is a specific module ( min. 4 hours ) and the equipment is only described and "de-mystified" on this course - Defibrillator training also requires specific student to instructor
ratios. )

Online feedback:
I found the course very beneficial. The duration of the practical sessions coupled with the low student to instructor ratio enabled the group to get the most out of the two days. I would hope to attend similar courses to develop my skills in the future. Thanks. - January 2007.

Since I did my training course with Mr. Paul Allan, I realised the importance of having the right First Aid Kit and equipment. Our Club West Muskerry A.C. have raised enough money for the purchase of a Defibrillator for our Club and the parents of the children are willing to take on the responsibility of completing the AED training course.
Many thanks Paul.

Thank you very much for running a very informative course for us last week. Your own practical experience came through very clearly and your presentation style was very relaxed which made for a most enjoyable course.
I've come back to Donegal enthused with lots of new ideas in how to make our own First Aid courses more hands on, and getting the students to practice in a more realistic environment rather than only in a classroom.
The trip to Waterford ( Coastguard Helicopter Search and Rescue Service ) was the icing on the cake -- thank you. Kind regards
Karl

I attended the training course in Macroom early this year. Our instructor was Paul. If you want a course that will take you straight in the reality of rescuing and if you are looking for someone who will give you the tools you need to help with efficiency make sure you train with Paul. Merci Paul!
Kind regards

This was my second first aid course attended. I found Paul's course more informative than the occupational course I did 6 years ago. Paul is willing to answer questions with good clear detail which makes it easy to understand. I learned more than I thought I would and can recommend Paul to everyone as a good clear instructer. Thanks Paul.

This is the second time that i have been on a course with Bob Law. It is most refreshing to have a course which is both informative and interesting. Only half-way through and can't wait for tommorow. This guy makes first aid fun!! I work as a life guard, please keep this up.

Just dropping in to say thank you very much for the Emergency Care course that I attended recently with Paul Allan and 'Moss'. Because of my profession (outward-bounds instructor) I have attended many first-aid/emergency care courses over the years but this was the first to really put me through the real-life situations that I was likely to meet in my own work environment.
The scenarios we rehearsed were well structured and managed, every question was answered with detail and no section of the syllabus left to chance. I would definitely recommend a Mountain Medicine course to any professional working with groups in remote circumstances.
Keep up the great courses, see you next year, regards
Paul |
